In June 2012, Sasol hosted the South African Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball team (WBSA) in Qatar to play an exhibition match against the Qatar National Handball team. In collaboration with the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Qatar Paralympic Committee, this match was done to demonstrate the talents of people with disability, overcoming physical challenges to perform at a high level of athletic excellence. In a purpose-built court positioned at City Centre Mall in Doha, hundreds of people attended to watch the match and be entertained. Beyond the match, the players visited with members of the audience, gave inspirational speeches and played mock matches and games with the students in attendance.
